What is 'meaning management'?

Meaning management refers to the process of using mapping data (see What is Mapping?) to figure out which words in the target language came from a given source language definition or language pair. Then a person assigned to review the definitions can:

a) find mistakes

b) decide if one or more translations are okay

c) complain/flag issues with the the source language definition

d) quickly change all target language words in the approved translations

Basically, meaning management is a way for users to help the AI automatically edit the machine translation.

Avodah's AI uses the meaning management process to move the translation from a 'first draft' status to a translation where every word and phrase is clearly linked back to a source text. Being able to do this proves that the translation is directly tied to the source text.  Each step in the process contributes to this goal by each of the following:
1) Linking the target translation and the reference translation
2) Providing a view of the linked words to Mother Tongue Translators or Consultants
3) Editing linkages, preferably across large amounts of text at the same time
