Guidelines for Peer Review

Peer Review is an important part of quality assurance in our translation projects.  Peer review can either mean partners on a team working together to check each other's work, or a whole-group review.

Here are some suggestions for an effective peer review:

  • Read the verse or passage several times (silently and aloud)
    • This helps you to listen for the naturalness in the language, as well as how it flows
  • Pay attention to word choice, spelling, grammar and punctuation, and make any changes needed
  • If there is something you are not sure about, ask the person whose work you are reviewing, or talk with your Quality Coach
  • Be kind.  Each team member is trying their best.  Support one another and help each other learn.
